The terms that govern your use of our website and your donations to Mercy Maple Relief.
Last updated: May 16, 2026
By accessing or using the Mercy Maple Relief website ("the Site") or making a donation through it, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Mercy Maple Relief is a registered Canadian charity. These terms apply to all visitors, donors, and users of the Site.
All donations are made in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are processed through a secure third-party payment provider. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
Donations are voluntary and, except as required by law, are non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error or processed incorrectly, contact us within 30 days and we will review the transaction in good faith.
One-time donations are charged once. Monthly recurring donations are charged on or around the same day each month until you cancel. You may cancel a recurring donation at any time by contacting us; cancellation stops future charges but does not refund past gifts.
You are responsible for ensuring you are authorized to use the payment method provided and that the donor information you submit is accurate.
Mercy Maple Relief issues official donation receipts for eligible gifts in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) rules. Receipts are sent to the email address you provide. It is your responsibility to provide accurate name and address information for receipting purposes.
Where a donation is designated to a specific program, we honour that designation; however, if a program is fully funded or cannot proceed, we reserve the right to direct funds to the area of greatest need consistent with our charitable purposes and CRA requirements.
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit false information, or use automated means to abuse donation or contact forms.
All content on the Site — text, graphics, logos, and images — is owned by or licensed to Mercy Maple Relief and may not be reproduced without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to keep information accurate and current, we make no warranties that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mercy Maple Relief is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
